FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

Shooters can delete firearms in the safe or only edit their names. Use the buttons at the end of each row in the firearms table for this. To insert a new firearm, you need to fill out a short form on the right side of the same screen and save the created record by clicking the green button below the form.
You can view the target in the "My Targets" section, where you will see its preview after clicking the "Detail" button. The button for printing this target is on the left side above the target image and is green. A small table titled "Target Size Adjustment Coefficient" will appear on the screen. In this table, click the "Print" button again. The first PDF file of the target for printing will be generated and downloaded to your standard downloads folder. Print this PDF file in the standard way. For correct printing, it is important to check that the dimensions of the hit zones correspond to reality. We recommend using A4 paper format and then verifying the accuracy of the printed target using the control scale printed at the bottom of the target. This target scale is printed at the bottom of every target. After the first printing of the target, measure the size of the target scale. It must exactly correspond to the stated value. If this value is different, enter this different value into the middle row of the "Target Size Adjustment Coefficient" table. The row is titled "Actual size after printing". Then press the "Print" button again. After generating a new, adjusted PDF file, print it and measure the scale size again. It should now exactly correspond to the value stated on the scale. Through this process, the application creates a correction coefficient for this target and remembers it. So, unless you change the printer or its settings, this coefficient will remain valid for this specific target. To be sure, however, always check the scale dimension, especially when printing competition targets. Repeat this process for all system and your private targets.
In the Shootap application, targets are divided into two main categories. System targets, prepared by the Shootap team, include a wide range of patterns for training and competition. Private targets are those you add to the system yourself. In most targets, you can also find a recommended use. Generally, for competitions in the Shootap application, you must choose from the list of system targets, while for training, you can use any target from the offer that suits your needs.
You can create a record of shooting data in the Shootap application in four ways: 1.Using the wizard, which starts automatically when you first open the application. 2.By manually filling out the form on the "Shooting Data" subpage. In the list of existing records, you can see your settings for various weapons and targets. You create a new record in the form on the right, where you either enter values (e.g., distance, number of shots) or select from options (e.g., a weapon from your safe). 3.By updating an existing record, which is ideal when changing a single parameter (e.g., distance from 15 to 20 meters). Just click "View Data" for a similar record, edit the required field in the form, and save it as a new record. 4.Automatically when registering for a competition. If you register for a discipline with a weapon you have in your safe but lack the necessary shooting data for it, the application will create and save it for you according to the competition requirements.
Before going to the shooting range, print out several targets. You can do this directly from the list of system targets or your private targets. Print the targets you will be shooting at. Training targets do not have a distance printed on them so that the shooter can use the printed target for any distance they decide on at the range. Mark the target you are shooting at and write down the distance and any other information you consider necessary. 1.You can take a photo of the training targets, but you don't have to. In that case, you will transfer the hits to the digital target on the screen from the original target. 2.Hits are currently always transferred manually, for example, by clicking a mouse on a computer. If you take a photo of the target, you will transfer the hits to the digital target from the photo of this target manually. You select the photo during processing, and it will appear right next to the digital target. 3.Both the photo and the digital target (the digital target is essentially an electronic image of your original) can be zoomed in for a better view of the hit edges. 4.Hits can be moved or deleted by dragging the hit to the trash icon. As you enter hits, the application continuously calculates all necessary results. After entering all hits from the original target, save your digital target along with the results.
Simply take a photo of the target with your smartphone. Take a photo of the entire target, including your notes (distance, wind direction, etc.) and the QR code. Take photos of all the targets you've shot that you want to process. The photos will be saved in your device's gallery. 1.Log in to the Shootap app on your smartphone using your nickname and password. 2.Immediately after logging in, you will see a large blue button that says "Click to select a photo from the device." 3.After clicking this button, your photo gallery will open. Select the targets you want to upload to the app. 4.That's all. When you later sit down at your PC, tablet, or laptop and log in there, your targets will already be uploaded and ready for processing.
Uploading a photo of the shot paper target is key to the transparency and fairness of the competition, as the hits are entered into the application by the competitor themselves. 1.The photo serves to verify whether you have transferred the hits from the paper target to the digital target in the application correctly and truthfully. 2.The archived photo, along with your digital target, is accessible for a certain period to other shooters registered in the given competition. 3.This system allows for mutual control among participants, ensuring the objectivity of results without the need for the presence of judges or physical control by the organizer.
Interim competition results are not and will not be available during its duration. Overall results and rankings for a specific competition will be displayed to competitors only after it has been closed and evaluated in the Shootap app. 1.Select "Shooting Competitions" from the main menu. 2.On the opened subpage, in the right menu under the "Shoot and Win" section, click on "Evaluated competitions where I am a participant". 3.A list of competitions you were involved in will appear in the middle part. 4.In the row of a specific competition, click the button to view the detailed evaluation and ranking.
In the main menu, select "Shooting Competitions". In the middle part of the subpage, a table will appear with a list of competitions that are suitable and available for you. If you want to narrow down the selection, use the blue button above the table "Open competition filter". 1.In the list, choose the competition you are interested in and click the green button "Detail and registration" at the end of the row. 2.The subpage of the selected competition will appear with one to three listed disciplines. Each discipline has detailed information in a separate colored window. 3.If you have a suitable weapon in your safe, you can register for the discipline by clicking the green button "Register for discipline". The application will register you and, if necessary, automatically create the required shooting data in the background. 4.After registering, the content of the discipline window will change. You will see a registration confirmation and can start uploading your targets. You can upload multiple targets, but only one can be submitted to the system as a competition target. 5.You can unsubscribe from a discipline until its closing deadline. If you do not unsubscribe and fail to complete the discipline (do not upload your competition target), the application will apply a penalty. The application will deduct the number of credits from your credit account in the credit bank that you would have received for participating in the competition.
You can print a competition target before registering for a discipline or after you have successfully registered for the selected discipline within a shooting competition. 1.In the discipline details, click the gray button "Download and print target". 2.An electronic image of the target designed for this specific competition will open. It contains information about the competition, discipline, your nickname, and a unique QR code, which is generated in four places in case it is damaged by a shot. This code is unique to this specific competition – a target with it cannot be uploaded to another competition, and only the logged-in shooter for whom it was generated can upload it to the system. 3.Click the "Print" button with the printer icon. Print the target exactly according to the procedure explained in the question "How to print a target?". Usually, one target is printed per A4 sheet of paper. Be sure to check the accuracy of the scale at the bottom edge of the target. If the scale size does not match, see the answer to the question "How to print a target?". 4.You can print as many competition targets as you see fit. You can upload several of them to the application, but only one will be submitted to the competition itself. Other uploaded targets will be saved in the system as training targets.
You can upload any number of competition targets you have shot to the Shootap web application, but you can only register one of them for the competition itself. The application will evaluate all uploaded targets and save them to your profile. 1.All uploaded targets with a unique QR code for the given competition will automatically appear in the list of your targets within a specific discipline. 2.The application will recommend one of them, usually the one with the highest score, as your competition target. 3.Other targets that you do not select and upload to the competition will remain saved in the system as your training targets. 4.Only one target, which you (or the application based on your consent) selected as a competition target, is always included in the official ranking and overall evaluation of the competition.
Yes, the Shootap web application allows every shooter to announce their own competition and set it according to his preferences. 1.Select "Shooting Competitions" from the main menu and click the green button "I want to create a new competition" on the right side under the "Shoot and Win" menu. A subpage for the new competition will open in the draft stage. 2.In the left part of the window, you will find empty fields for the discipline. You can enter the data manually and save the discipline (saving automatically creates new shooting data if you don't have them yet). The second option is to click the blue button "Create discipline from shooting data", select an existing setting from the list, and transfer it to the discipline. You can still freely edit the data before the final save. 3.You can include up to three different disciplines in one competition. 4.Also pay attention to the right side of the screen, where you set common parameters for the entire competition (name, dates, access, etc.). 5.Save the competition after complete setup. It will first be saved as a Draft, allowing you to return to and edit the settings at any time. After finalization, you can officially announce the competition for the dates you have chosen.
An overview of relevant competitions you can enter can be found directly in the central table after entering the competition section. 1.Select "Shooting Competitions" from the main menu. 2.In the middle part of the screen, a list of currently announced competitions that are relevant to you based on the type of weapons you have in your virtual safe will automatically appear in the table. 3.It does not depend on your existing shooting data (distance or target type) – if you own the given type of weapon, you will see all competitions intended for it. 4.For a faster search for a specific competition, you can use the filter located at the top of this table.
Yes, the Shootap web application includes a Chat feature that allows registered shooters to communicate with each other through short messages. 1.You can send a short message to any registered member of the Shootap community, provided you know their exact nickname (nick). 2.The application does not allow sending bulk messages or links to unknown recipients to prevent the spread of unsolicited content. 3.The only exception is sending bulk messages within your own club, where you can communicate with all members at once. 4.You can also attach an interesting internet link to the text of the message in the chat.
Ranking in the Shootap app is an indicator of your current shooting performance for a specific set of shooting data. 1.Ranking expresses your average percentage success rate (e.g., 93%) achieved under precisely defined conditions (specific weapon, distance, target type, position, etc.). 2.The value is calculated as the average of your last 5 recorded shooting results (training or competition) for the given setting. 3.If you change even a single parameter (e.g., distance from 15 m to 25 m), these are new shooting data with their own separate ranking. 4.This system allows you to accurately track your stability and progress in every discipline you pursue.
The credit bank in the Shootap app is used to manage your virtual currency, which you earn for activity and achievements, and which you can later convert into a financial discount. 1.You earn credits for registration, participation in competitions, medal placements, or for successful organization of your own shooting competitions. 2.A special unit is the Super Credit, which you earn for recruiting new members who use your unique promo code upon registration and payment of the fee. 3.The application automatically generates your unique promo code during your first registration. 4.The main benefit is that accumulated credits are converted into a financial discount on the registration fee for the next period when you renew your membership.
A promo code in the Shootap app is your unique identification tool that allows you to earn Super Credits for recruiting new members. 1.Every member has their own unique promo code generated automatically upon their first registration in the app. 2.If you provide this code to a new person interested in Shootap membership and they use it during their registration and fee payment, you will receive a reward. 3.The reward is the crediting of Super Credits to your credit bank. 4.Accumulated Super Credits (along with regular credits) can be applied as a financial discount on the registration fee for the next period when renewing your own membership.
